Max is a 2003 Palomino Gelding by Coconino
Sioux and out of my favorite mare Miss WDX
Snippette. He was started in the summer of
2005, and after his 30th ride assumed the role
of babysitter on the ranch. He's carried
"thirty-something" novice riders during
branding for the past two years, babysits kids
of all ages, gives riding lessons to aspiring
students of horsemanship. Max's best
attribute is he will go exactly as fast as the
rider can convince him to go; and he possesses
that unflappable quality that will allow him to
get along with anybody. Heck, when his
schedule allows, I even get to start colts with
him. He had a run in with a barbed wire fence
as a baby, and packs a nasty looking scar on
his right shoulder, however he has never
taken a lame step because of it. He's
guaranteed sound and gentle.
